Fraternal Order of Police Endorses Pearce
State’s Largest Law Enforcement Organization Cites Support For Law Enforcement, Families
HOBBS, NM – The Fraternal Order of Police, New Mexico State Lodge has endorsed Steve Pearce for Congress.
In a letter from President Robert L. Martinez and Political Steering Committee Chairman Tom Smith, the organization endorsed Pearce because of his record of support for law enforcement during his previous six years in Congress. From the letter:
“The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) endorsed you because of your support of law enforcement and their families. You have a proven track record of supporting the many legislative initiatives of the FOP at the federal level when you were in Congress. We are well aware of your voting record, and look forward to your support on those measures of importance to the law enforcement officers in their district, state and nation.”
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of our state’s largest law enforcement organization,” said Pearce. “Standing up for those who put their lives on the line to protect our streets and neighborhoods is something I take very seriously. The FOP can always count on me to listen to their concerns, and to work toward our common goals.”
The Fraternal Order of Police is the largest professional organization in New Mexico, and has more than 328,000 members across the country.
