Senate bill passed almost 3 months ago and Teague has yet to look at it

HOBBS, NM - The House is expected to consider this week a version of the Senate health care bill that was passed almost three months ago on Christmas Eve.

Congressman Harry Teague told the Albuquerque Journal today that he has not yet reviewed the Senate version of the health care legislation.

"I don't want to say for sure until we see exactly what the Senate sends over, but we're going to look at it." Albuquerque Journal, March 16, 2010)

Alicia Collins, campaign spokesperson stated, "Congressman Teague has had a copy of the Senate bill for almost three months now. The entire country is debating the reconciliation process which can only occur after passing the Senate bill. Other members of Congress and average Americans all across the county have had time to read and review the provisions in the Senate bill. How has Congressman Teague not had the opportunity?"

Collins added, "New Mexicans deserve a representative that will be well informed on critical issues facing our country and be willing to publically speak on what is happening in Washington."
