Universal coverage sounds good when you say it.  "Everyone" having health care coverage makes a very good selling point.  But nice sounding phrases are the only decent quality that can come from the concept of socialized medicine.  Without fail, when you create systems that are all-inclusive all you end up including the very worst parts of what can go wrong with health care.

Liberal Healthcare Reform Principles Already Proven To Increase Costs And Waste Time

Socialist policies, such as Obama's health care "reform" will most certainly do two things.  It will make costs skyrocket, and it will lower the quality of care you receive.  When companies and providers do not have to fiercely compete to attract and keep customers to survive, they tend to not worry about the customer at all.  If you think big hospital conglomerates only think about the bottom line now, just wait until they don't have to worry about people at all.
