Steve Pearce Named “Honorary Tax Fighter”
National Tax Limitation Committee “Fully Expects” Pearce to Fight Cap-and-Trade, Healthcare Takeover
HOBBS, NM – The National Tax Limitation Committee has named Steve Pearce an “honorary tax fighter” in a press release from the group’s president, Lewis K. Uhler.
From the release:
“We reserve this honorary award for those candidates whose commitment to restraint of government spending and taxation is absolutely clear from their public statements, actions and pledges.”
“We fully expect to be giving our Congressional “Tax Fighter” award to Steve Pearce at the end of the next (112th) Congress, after he votes to repeal Obamacare and to kill “Cap and Trade” black flag dead.”
“I’m honored to be named an “Honorary Tax Fighter” by the National Tax Limitation Committee,” said Pearce. “I know that tax increases kill jobs, and that is why I will fight every tax increase that comes through Congress, whether an income tax hike or the cap-and-trade energy tax that would kill 12,000 New Mexico jobs.”
The National Tax Limitation Committee has rated Members of Congress on their voting records for over 25 years. The “Tax Fighter” Award is given to those elected officials who receive an “A” rating.
