Pearce Endorsed by U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Submitted by Administrator on Tue, 2012-05-01 20:01

Hobbs, NM (May 1, 2012) Today, Congressman Steve Pearce announced that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors has endorsed him for U.S. Representative for New Mexico’s Second Congressional District.

"I am honored to receive this endorsement,” said Pearce. “The Chamber of Commerce supports candidates with strong pro-business records. As jobs are—and will continue to be—my top priority, this is significant to me. Now, more than ever, we must focus on putting Americans back to work and working to enable small businesses to grow, expand and create more jobs. I am pleased to have the support of the Chamber in this race and will continue to fight for New Mexico’s small businesses.”

In a letter to Pearce, the Chamber wrote: “It is the Chamber’s goal to help elect a pro-business majority in Congress and work diligently in support of the interests of businesses large and small to advance legislation that encourages economic growth, job creation, and a less intrusive federal government. Your record of support on pro-business issues earned this endorsement.”
